I have been a lover
of beauty my entire life. Before I was old enough to walk, my father began
a nightly ritual – carrying me around our house, inside and out, pausing
to let me caress and admire each painting, leaf, flower and other “pretty”
thing I saw. My father is gone now, but I will always be grateful to him
for recognizing and nurturing my innate love of beauty.
Today, I share the
beauty I see in this world through my photography. I like to photograph
anything that catches my artist's eye -- a grand landscape, an interesting
architectural detail, an intimate portrait of a flower, an abstract design
formed by natural or man-made elements, a wildlife encounter, or a scene
that captures the essence of a place. I chose the name “Four Winds”
for my photography business because it suggests variety, nature and travel. |
| My images
have won many awards at photographic competitions, and my work has been
displayed at numerous galleries and other locations in the Colorado Springs
area and elsewhere.
I am a member of
the Professional Photographers of America, the Peak Digital |
 |
Imaging Society, the
Circle of Confusion and the Colorado Springs Creative Photography Meetup
Group. I formerly served on the board of directors of the Professional
Photographers Guild of Colorado Springs.
